After a brief stint (1963-64 as a trainee) at NASA of the United States, Abdul Kalam returned to India in 1964 and was a part of the team which set up the Thumba Rocket Station near Trivandrum. A cattle shed became their laboratory and the Bishop's house was converted into a workshop. This pic was shot in that workshop during the assembling of a rocket payload by Abdul Kalam and his colleagues
